Boxing Champ Mairis Briedis Gets A Jake Paul Tattoo

IBF cruiserweight champion Mairis Briedis (28–1 20 KOs) has been roasted by social media users after he posted a video on his Instagram account that left no doubt of his desire to face Jake Paul.

The Latvian boxing ace documented him getting the tattoo that Paul has on the right side of his neck. He could be seen entering a tattoo salon in London to get the tattoo on his left leg.

In the caption, the Latvian Punisher asked Paul to pick up his call to set up a fight soon. Fans thought this was an embarrassing attempt to share the ring with the YouTuber.

One person commented: “Jake Paul rang. He said he’s fighting people that aren’t pathetic enough to get a random tattoo hoping for a payday. Sorry.”

The 37-year-old is the only boxer from Latvia to hold a world title. He is on a five-fight winning streak, coming off a TKO victory over Germany’s Artur Mann in front of his home crowd in Riga, Latvia.

He has only lost once in his career.

Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk beat him by a majority draw to clinch the WBC cruiserweight title. The 12-round super-fight went down on January 27, 2018.
