Boxing Fans Convinced Canelo Will Fight Crawford Next

After his recent announcement, boxing fans are speculating that Canelo Alvarez could fight Terence Crawford

Alvarez announced on Mexican TV that his next opponent would be an American on May 4. Initial reports put Jermall Charlo as the favorite, although no official confirmation has been made. Crawford is looking for an opponent after the Errol Spence Jr. rematch broke down.

“It seems as though the rematch with Spence is not going to take place. [This is] for a variety of reasons, including the fact Spence is on the sidelines after having recent cataract surgery. So Crawford’s in need of an opponent,” Dan Rafael said

Bud has expressed his desire to face Alvarez at 168, giving him the chance to become a three-weight undisputed champion.

“Yeah [I want to go to 168 pounds]. [I’ll fight] Canelo…I want to be three-time undisputed,” Bud revealed

The former Undisputed Welterweight Champion is back in training, sparring heavier and bigger fighters.

Since he would be moving up three weight classes to face Canelo, fans were convinced he could be Canelo’s mystery opponent.
