Australian boxer Billy Dib has left every boxing fan smiling after sharing that he has beaten cancer.
In his social media post on Monday, the Australian star’s son Laith can be seen overjoyed with the news as an Islamic nasheed plays in the background.
Laith was holding a sign that says “Hi guys, my dad is in remission. Alhumdulillah #cancerfree”
AlhamdAllah (thanks to God), I received the most beautiful news today. My scan came back clear of cancer. I am so grateful, blessed, happy and relieved. Thank you God, my health team, my family and all of you, for your prayers, encouragement and support to help me get here pic.twitter.com/u31vdd88AZ

Alongside the video post, Dib tweeted:
“AlhamdAllah (thanks to Allah), I received the most beautiful news today. My scan came back clear of cancer. I am so grateful, blessed, happy and relieved. Thank you God, my health team, my family and all of you, for your prayers, encouragement and support to help me get here.”
Fellow Australian boxing star Tim Tszyu and his promoter No Limit have offered Dib the ringside tickets in his showdown against Tony Harrison this weekend.
Speaking to Fox Sports, Tszyu said:
“It’s not just for Billy Dib the boxer. It’s because of the person he is. Billy has such a kind heart. Has always been there to support me.”
“So if he wants to come this Sunday I want to have him there,” he added.
The former IBF and IBO super featherweight champion was first diagnosed with cancer last October.
