Bradley: Mikey Garcia Is Dangerous For Lomachenko

Former world champion Timothy Bradley shared his thoughts on a potential Mikey Garcia vs. Vasiliy Lomachenko fight.

Speaking to Boxing Scene, Bradley said he would love to see the two lightweight world champions fight and even calls Garcia a dangerous fight for Lomachenko despite being not as quick as the new WBA champion.

“It’s a great fight. I want to see it. It’s an unbelievable fight. We saw with Linares, he had some success with that speed in spots. He did well when he let his hands go. Mikey is dangerous. He’s dangerous, he’s smart. He’s not as quick, but he has really good timing,”

Bradley believes Garcia would be the one calling Lomachenko and his camp and try to make the fight possible. The former champion called Lomachenko’s move up to lightweight a risky one due to Lomachenko fighting in three weight classes in his 12 fights as a pro boxer.

“[Garcia] probably got on the phone and said ‘let’s make this fight happen.’ Loma is a smaller guy, he’s taking risks. You don’t see a lot of guys moving up three weight classes right away.”
