Brandon Moreno Vs. Alex Perez Reportedly Set For UFC 255

Two top flyweights will look to prove they deserve a title shot. If anything, they will be on standby if an opportunity arises.

MMA Junkie was able to confirm Milenio’s report that Brandon Moreno and Alex Perez will face off against one another on November 21. The event will be UFC 255, and Las Vegas and “Fight Island” are both in play.

Moreno (17-5-1) is on a four-fight unbeaten streak and is 3-1-1 in his last five fights. His last fight was in March, beating Jussier Formiga via unanimous decision. The 26-year-old is ranked second in the UFC’s flyweight rankings.

Perez (24-5) is on a three-fight win streak since the start of 2019. His last fight was a TKO-win back in June against Formiga at UFC 250. It was his second win in 2020, as he beat Jordan Espinosa back in January via submission. Perez is ranked fourth in the flyweight rankings.

Both fighters will be ready, as one of the main events of UFC 255 will be Deiveson Figueiredo defending his UFC Flyweight Title against Cody Garbrandt. Garbrandt, a former UFC bantamweight Champion, will be making his flyweight debut. He was able to earn the shot not long after expressing his desire to move down in weight.

The women’s flyweight title is also on the line, as Valentina Shevchenko will defend her title against Jennifer Maia.
