Amanda Nunes vs. Julianna Pena will be taking place at UFC 265.
ESPN’s Brett Okamoto broke the news on social media. He received confirmation from UFC President Dana White. Nunes’ UFC Bantamweight Championship will be on the line.

“The Lioness will make her return to the bantamweight division in August. Per Dana White, Amanda Nunes will defend her 135-pound title against Julianna Pena at UFC 265.”
This will be the sixth 135-pound title defense for Nunes. She is coming off a quick women’s featherweight title defense against Megan Anderson. “The Lioness” won the fight via first-round submission.
Pena is coming off a submission victory over Sara McMann. This was a rebound victory for “The Venezuelan Vixen” as she was choked out by Germaine de Randamie the bout prior.
An exact date has not been determined for UFC 265. A venue and location were also not revealed.
