The movers and shakers behind the eSports Boxing Club video game have announced perhaps the biggest addition to the ESBC roster.
Earlier today, May 24, the official YouTube channel of ESBC revealed that current WBA, WBC, WBO, and The Ring Super-Middleweight Champion Canelo Alvarez will be a playable boxer in the game.
Despite being perhaps the biggest star in boxing today, Canelo hasn’t been featured in a mainline boxing game yet. This is due to the fact that there hasn’t been an officially licensed boxing game since Fight Night Champion, which was released back in March 2011.
That changes later in 2021. ESBC is scheduled for release on PC via the Steam platform, as well as Xbox and PlayStation.
