Gervonta Davis may have found himself in trouble with the law again.
CBS Baltimore is reporting that Davis was involved in a hit-and-run accident in South Baltimore on Thursday. The accident is said to have occurred around 1:53 a.m. ET at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Martin Luther King Boulevard.
People were found by Baltimore Police with minor injuries. One person was taken to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The police say that a vehicle took off after running a red light and crashing into another vehicle.
Sources told WJZ that it was Davis who was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. Police wouldn’t confirm who was the driver.
This wouldn’t be Davis’ first run-in with the law. He was arrested back in February 2020 and charged with battery after video surfaced of “Tank” allegedly getting involved in a physical altercation with his ex-girlfriend.
Davis is the WBA (Regular) Lightweight Champion and WBA (Super) Super-Featherweight Champion. He is fresh off a sensational knockout victory over Leo Santa Cruz on Halloween night. It is considered to be a top candidate for boxing’s 2020 Knockout of the Year.
We’ll keep you posted on the alleged hit-and-run situation with Davis as more information becomes available.
