Ronda Rousey Signs With WWE
Following months of rumors and speculation, Ronda Rousey has made her next career move official.
At the end of the WWE’s Royal Rumble event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Sunday, as WWE wrestlers Askua, and champions Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss were standing in the ring, Rousey’s UFC walk out music Bad Reputation played in the Wells Fargo Center, and Rousey draped in a jacket once owned by her childhood hero, Roddy Piper, walked down to ringside to make it known she is a member of the company.
Rousey, who is a lifelong fan of pro wrestling, was rumored to join the organization since her loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 in 2016. With the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match announced by the organization, Rousey’s name was mentioned as one of the surprise entrants who would enter the match.
While that didn’t happen, it seems that with what happened in Philadelphia will yield her a match at the company’s Wrestlemania event, and per ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, Rousey has signed an exclusive full-time contract with the company for an unspecified amount and duration.

The jacket Ronda Rousey is wearing at the @WWE Royal Rumble was Rowdy Roddy Piper’s jacket. His son gave it to her beforehand.
