“Breath Of Fresh Air To Boxing:” Tyson Fury Is Impressed With Paul Brothers
WBC Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury has come out in support of Logan Paul and Jake Paul. The Brit feels that both YouTubers are a breath of fresh air to boxing. It is fair to say that the Paul brothers are not liked by every veteran of combat sports, but they have a fan in Tyson Fury.
Jake Paul has all three of his professional fighters. He made around $700,000 excluding the PPV money from his last bout against former UFC fighter Ben Askren. Whereas, Logan made around $20 million from his exhibition matchup against Floyd Mayweather that ended in a no contest.
The WBC champ, who is preparing for his third title fight against Deontay Wilder, seems dazzled to see the YouTubers box.
“I’ve been pretty impressed with the Pauls — both of them — to be fair, they’ve been a good breath of fresh air to the boxing scene. Fantastic, guys. Well done if you’re watching,” the Gypsy King told TMZ Sports.
The Brit also weighed on the beef that his younger brother Tommy Fury and Jake Paul share. They have been going back and forth on social media for months, trading barbs with each other.
But Tyson feels that his brother will win with ease if the two ever box. “I think Tommy knocks him out cold. I think [Jake’s] a decent fighter for sure. But, I know Tommy’s a dynamite puncher,” the Gypsy King continued.
