Broner Doesn’t Care About A Pacquiao-Mayweather Rematch
During Thursday’s media conference call, Manny Pacquiao would be tight-lipped when it came to a potential rematch with Floyd Mayweather following his return to the ring on January 19th.
While Pacquiao would only say he’s “focused on Adrien Broner,” Broner was a little more vocal about the rumors of his opponent facing the undefeated Mayweather.
“No disrespect,” Broner said, “but I don’t give a f*** about Mayweather and Pacquiao.”
Both Broner and Pacquiao can gain a fight against Mayweather with a win in Las Vegas in less than two weeks.
For Pacquiao it would be his chance to redeem himself for a 2015 unanimous decision loss to Mayweather, and for Broner it would be the chance to validate his skills against the Michigan born fighter, who has acted as a mentor to Broner.
“I’m focused on Adrien Broner and Pacquiao,” Broner said. “And, you know, I’m focused on getting this victory and I’m gonna go to the drawing board with my team – Stephen Espinoza and Al Haymon – and we gonna make bigger moves.”
