Brook Blasts “Time Waster” Khan

While Amir Khan has wanted to “Fight the top names,” following his controversial TKO loss to Terence Crawford earlier this year, Kell Brook feels Khan is a liar.

Brook and Khan have been openly negotiating for a fight between one another for years, with Khan going as far as to sign with Matchroom Boxing, Brook’s promoter.

Yet, Khan has yet to sign on the dotted line for a fight with the former welterweight world champion, instead taking the fight with Crawford and then signing for a fight with Neeraj Goyat for next month in Saudi Arabia.

“Amir Khan doesn’t want the fight, he talks c**p,” Brook told Sky Sports. “I haven’t got time for time wasters.”

“The Brook fight is still out there, definitely,” Khan told Sky Sports News earlier this month. “In Britain it would be a huge fight.

“There are still a lot of fights that [promoter Eddie Hearn] can make for me. I want to fight the top names.”

Instead of the “top fights,” Khan was all set to fight Goyat, who’s record is 11-2-3 as a pro. Now, after Goyat suffered injuries in a car accident, he will now face former champion Billy Dib, who has to jump three weight classes for the fight in Jeddah, after last fighting as a featherweight in April.
