Brook-Khan Possible For 2020?

After the fight has not come to fruition numerous times in 2018 and 19, Eddie Hearn is looking to give another try to book Amir Khan and Kell Brook for a major showdown.

“I still want to make that fight. I’ll give it one more roll of the dice,” Hearn said of the two welterweights who have been feuding for several years in the media. “I will tell them: ‘Guys, spring 2020, let’s do it’.

“Hopefully we can get it over the line.”

After suffering a confusing loss to Terence Crawford in April, Khan returned by decimating an overmatched Billy Dib in Saudi Arabia.

Conversely, Brook has only fought once in the past 12 months, a unanimous decision win over Michael Zerafa.

“He wants to fight in December,” Hearn said of Brook. “He wants the big fights. He has been there and done it, he wants to have those big fights, and he feels like he’s got a few left.”

“He tried to make the Terence Crawford fight, 147lbs is still difficult for him but he can do it with the right amount of time and preparation… He still has the hunger, and still wants to knock out a certain Mr Khan.”
