Brook Tight Lipped On Trainer

While Kell Brook is preparing for a possible return later this year, the former IBF welterweight champion has not commented on who is leading his training.

When asked if his career-long trainer, Dominic Ingle, will be joining him in camp while he trains at Feurteventura, with possible trainers Adam Etches and John Fewkes, Brook created more questions than answers.

“He could be – he could not be,” Brook said in a recent interview. “It’s like that Bruce Forsyth game. All I can say is I am training extremely hard in Fuerteventura, three times a day, for a fight in December.”

When asked for comment, Etches, who currently acts as a manager was equally mum on the subject.

“Great things are going to happen, not just for me and Kell and John but for everybody. It is all exciting,” Etches said.

Brook is hoping to finalize a deal to fight with Amir Khan in early 2019, but has only fought once in 2018, a two-round stoppage of Sergey Rabchenko in March.
