Bruce Buffer took a brief detour from the Octagon this week to help welcome professional baseball to Las Vegas, announcing the starting lineup for the Athletics in their first home series in the city.
The Athletics hosted the Milwaukee Brewers at their new Las Vegas venue, and brought Buffer on board, as The Athletics won 7-5. Buffer, who has been the voice of the UFC Octagon for nearly the promotion’s entire existence, will return to his more familiar surroundings this Sunday when he takes the mic at UFC Freedom 250 on the White House lawn. It is not the first time Buffer has lent his voice to a major sporting occasion outside of MMA. Ahead of Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas in 2024, he announced the arrivals of the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl Media Day.
