An interesting middleweight fight will be taking place at a new venue and date. The previously announced Derek Brunson v. Edmen Shahbazyan bout will not be on the UFC 248 card. Instead, the bout will take place a few weeks later.
Shahbazyan announced on Twitter that he will now fight in April at UFC Portland. MMA DNA were the first to break the news. There is no specific reason at the moment for the change. UFC 248 takes place on March 7 and features two big title fights. Israel Adesanya will defend his UFC Middleweight Championship against Yoel Romero, while Weili Zhang will defend her UFC Strawweight Title against Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
