Burns, Indongo Make Championship Weight

At the official weigh-ins for their 140-lb. title fight, the Scottish Ricky Burns and Namibian Julius Indongo passed the scale with 139.2 pounds and 139.3 pound respectively.

They are both ready to fight for the WBA (IBO and IBF) super lightweight titles.

Burns is the WBA 140 world champion and this is the second defense of the belt his won in 2016 when he defeated Italian Michele Di Rocco and defended against Byelorussian Kiryl Relikh.

“Rickster” has been the Super featherweight and lightweight champion. His experience and superior boxing are his best weapons

Indongo is the International Boxing Federation title holder, he won this title in December 2016 when he knocked Eduard Troyanovsky.

So far the Namibian has proven to be a tough nut to crack, with a respectable punch power, proof of this are three knockouts in a row.

The Scottish has a record of 41-5-1, 14 KO’s, while his opponent has 21-0, 11 KO’s.
