Caldwell Retains Title At Bellator 195

In the first defense of his Belator Bantamweight Title, Darrion Caldwell lived up to his nickname “The Wolf,” as he clamped down on Leandro Higo to retain his title.

Caldwell, who won the title in October at Bellator 184, returned to the site of his title victory and gained the momentum early in the round with a takedown, but Higo found an escape. The champion took a chance on another takedown seconds later, and was able to lock in a guillotine to get the win.

Bellator also announced the first fight for newly signed Jon Fitch, who will debut at Bellator 199 against Paul Daley.
