Calvin Ford Hints At A Big Fight For Tank Davis – ‘Going To Make The World Turn’
Calvin Ford has suggested that Gervonta Davis could be announcing a very big fight soon.
Davis’ last fight was a seventh-round stoppage win over Ryan Garcia in a fight that sold over a reported $1.2 million pay-per-views. Thereafter, Davis did time behind bars after he violated the terms of his house arrest which required him to stay at Ford’s house. But now that he has been released, Davis’ next opponent remains a mystery.
Fights against Shakur Stevenson or Devin Haney are unlikely for the next fight since it would be a huge risk for Davis to take those instead of a tune-up first. Not only that, but both fighters are currently preoccupied with other bouts. Meanwhile, boxing fans have been frustrated with the lack of big names on Davis’ resume, even with his 29-0 record. However, Ford has stated that Tank’s upcoming fight will excite the fanbase.

“Right now, something big is coming. I can tell you that. It’s quiet for a reason. They’re trying to seal the deal. It’s going to make the world turn,” Ford stated
Outside of those names mentioned previously, a rematch with Isaac Cruz could occur. Ford has expressed his desire to see Davis fight the Mexican once again since he did go the distance with Tank in 2021. Although Davis revealed that he did have a hand injury during the fight, Pitbull’s come-forward style won him a lot of plaudits. But anything less than a big name will not go down well with the fanbase.
