Canelo Alvarez Seen Showcasing Moves During Media Workout
The battle between Canelo Alvarez and Gennadiy Golovkin is around the corner.
As there are still four weeks to go in this fight, it seems like Alvarez is enjoying his build-up to this encounter.
The match will take place on Saturday, September 17 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
This encounter means that Golovkin would compete in the super middleweight division for the first time in his career.
In the build-up to this fight, Alvarez had some words for his opponent, claiming his rivalry with the Kazakhstani fighter was “personal” rather than competitive.
“He always pretends to be a nice guy but he’s an asshole. He’s an asshole person… He’s talking a lot of things about me. That’s why it’s personal.”
Álvarez even said that he is loving the prospect of sending his opponent into retirement.
Moreover, the Mexican athlete admitted that he received gratification from making Golovkin wait four years for a trilogy fight according to his own terms and in his preferred weight class of super middleweight: “It makes me feel good.”
The undercard will be headlined by super flyweight fighter Jesse Rodriguez, who will go toe to toe against Israel Gonzalez in the co-main title battle.
