Canelo Alvarez Wants To See David Benavidez Vs Jermall Charlo Showdown

Canelo Alvarez wishes to see the leading fighters, David Benavidez and Jermall Charlo, settle their debts in the ring. This is because he wants to compete with the winner of the fight.

Alvarez, who has lost only a single fight so far in his career to Floyd Mayweather, is confident about his abilities and believes that he should fight only the top athletes.

“But they need to fight each other too because they’re just waiting for me because they want a good payday, so I know that. They need to fight each other. I can fight the winner of all of them,” Alvarez told ESNEWS.

Benavidez (25-0, 22 KOs) has also tried to get fights against Charlo, Caleb Plant, and even Alvarez but he was not successful in getting one.

As for Alvarez, he has already shown that he is satisfied with fewer fight options since 2018.

His opposition since 2018 includes names like Avni Yildirim, Billy Joe Saunders, Caleb Plant, Sergey Kovalev, Daniel Jacobs, Rocky Fielding, and Callum Smith.

Alvarez’ upcoming fight is against the WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol. Although Bivol has seen a massive upgrade in his career, some view him as a weaker link because of his last two fights against Craig Richards and Umar Salamov.
