Canelo Looks To Make GGG Eat His Words

With the clock ticking until his return to the ring, Canelo Alvarez is gearing up for his rematch against Gennady Golovkin,

The rematch of their controversial 2017 split round draw, returns to the scene of their first fight on September 15th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Alvarez, who will be returning after a backdated suspension from the Nevada State Athletic Commission, over a failed drug test for the originally scheduled May 5th rematch, is looking to drop Golovkin for his trash talk.

“The truth is that this fight means a lot to me because of all that has happened and all that has been said,” said Canelo, speaking on Golovkin calling Alvarez a dirty fighter and a “terrorist”.

“I will prove with my fists that I am the best, and Golovkin will eat all of his words and speculations. I will demonstrate who is the best when I defeat Golovkin soundly on September 15 during Independence Day Weekend, and I’ll make it clear that Mexican boxing is the best.”
