Canelo Alvarez (63-3-2, 39 KOs) is training alongside Oleksandr Usyk (25-0, 16 KOs) in Spain as he prepares to challenge Christian Mbilli for the WBC super middleweight title on October 31 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Canelo has established part of his training camp in Gandía, where Usyk has also used a training base, with recent footage showing the two champions working together in the gym.
The move also allows Canelo to prepare closer to the time zone he will compete in before traveling to Saudi Arabia for fight week.
Canelo is looking to regain a world title at 168 pounds after losing the undisputed super middleweight championship to Terence Crawford in September 2025. Mbilli enters the October 31 fight as the WBC super middleweight champion.
