Canelo’s Coach Tells GGG’s Coach To Shut Up

Canelo Alvarez’s trainer, Eddy Reynoso, refuses to pay attention to anything coming from Gennady Golovkin’s trainer, Abel Sanchez, on the road to Golovkin and Alvarez’ rematch on September 15th in Las Vegas.

“We are focused on our own things. They keep talking, it’s them [the fighters] who are going to retaliate [in the ring]. It’s not good for a coach to be screaming, because he’s not going to get in the ring,” Reynoso told Hoy Deportes. “In the end, those who are going to get into the ring are Saul and Golovkin.”

Even though Reynoso has spoken out on a few occasions, but looks to avoid a war of words with Sanchez.

“We are a humble team, we like to work, we have to keep working, let them keep talking. Boxing is a serious sport, you have to respect it,” Reynoso said.

The trainer also claimed that Alvarez is back to 100% after undergoing knee surgery earlier in 2018.

“Two days after he underwent surgery, he was already doing rehabilitation. We did like a week or two of rehabilitation, now he’s doing everything normal, ” said Reynoso.
