Carlos Ulberg’s UFC Title Missing

Just days after capturing the vacant UFC Light Heavyweight title at UFC 327 by stopping Jiří Procházka last weekend, Carlos Ulberg admitted that the physical belt is currently missing.

Sources confirmed that the belt went missing during a night of celebrations following the event at a local New York City nightclub. Ulberg admitted he initially planned to stay sober due to his knee injury, but the atmosphere took over. Ulberg fought through an injury to his right knee to secure the victory, showing the magnitude of the win. However, it wasn’t until the following morning of the celebrations that Ulberg realized the title was nowhere to be found. UFC officials have reportedly been in contact to try and locate the belt. Ulberg was understandably devastated by the news.

“I’m absolutely devastated. That belt means everything to me, and I have no idea how I could have lost it. I take full responsibility and will do everything in my power to get it back,” Ulberg said 

Ulberg is scheduled to fly to Las Vegas in the coming days to consult with doctors at the UFC Performance Institute. With surgery likely, Ulberg has plenty to ponder over.
