Cat Zingano Out Against Pam Sorenson At Bellator 276

Cat Zingano won’t be returning to the Bellator cage just yet.

Zingano suffered an injury, and is unable to participate at Bellator 276 against Pam Sorenson.

Zingano is one of the few fighters who served a loss to Amanda Nunes. In 2014, they shared the octagon where Zingano earned a second-round TKO victory.

She then suffered defeat in the title fight against legendary Ronda Rousey after that victory. In her last five UFC battles, she earned only one victory, so she left the promotion. In Bellator, she fought two times and earned the victory in both battles.

Bellator was previously targeting a title fight between Zingano and current featherweight champion Cris Cyborg, but Cyborg accused Zingano of not accepting while Zingano accused Cyborg of refusing to take a drug test.

Bellator 276 will take place on March 12 at the Family Arena in St. Louis, Missouri. The headlining of the event will be a featherweight title eliminator fight between Adam Borics (17-1-0) and former UFC fighter Mads Burnell (16-3-0).

Burnell is on a seven-fight winning streak after leaving the UFC. He earned four victories in Cage Warriors and three in Bellator.

Borics is on three-fight winning streak. He suffered his only defeat back in 2020 at Bellator 238 against Darrion Caldwell via submission.
