Cerrone And Gaethje Throwing Down

Donald Cerrone and Justin Gaethje will finally square off when the UFC returns to Vancouver on September 14th.

First reported by Yahoo News and MMA Junkie, the two lightweights will battle on September 14th when the UFC brings their 16th ESPN+ card to Rogers Arena in Vancouver, with Cerrone looking to redeem himself after a doctor’s stoppage at UFC 238 last month.

Cerrone was facing off with Tony Ferguson, when in-between rounds, the Cowboy would blow his nose which would lead to his eye swelling up and forcing the doctor to step in and give Ferguson the victory.

Cerrone’s path back to title contention is not easy, as Gatheje leveled Edson Barboza in March with a first round knockout, continuing his trend of getting a performance bonus after every appearance he’s had inside the Octagon.

The latest UFC on ESPN+ 16 lineup includes:

Donald Cerrone vs. Justin Gaethje
Nikita Krylov vs. Glover Teixeira
David Branch vs. Andrew Sanchez
Todd Duffee vs. Jeff Hughes
Augusto Sakai vs. Marcin Tybura
Misha Cirkunov vs. Jim Crute
Antonio Carlos Junior vs. Uriah Hall
