Cerrone Wants Khabib Or 165lbs Division

Donald Cerrone, stopped a three fight skid on Sunday told reporters that he’d be more dangerous at 165 pounds.

In an interview with MMA Junkie following UFC Austin, Cerrone told reporters that he …”can make 160 (pounds),” and that  “it’s that last little bit, I just don’t have the bodyfat, or I’m too lean.”

Cerrone also told reporters what fighter he’d be wanting to go after next if the opportunity presented itself.

“Khabib (Nurmagomedov) wants some (expletive), I’ll make it,” Cerrone said.

Cerrone thinks that this won’t be the case, but thinks that the UFC should look into the new set of weight classes from the Association of Boxing Commissions, that includes an 165 pound class.

“Why not 135, 145, 155, 165, 175, 185 – let’s do them all,” he said. “You’d see a lot of people make that (at 165). I’d be there.”
