Cesar Gracie Believes Nick Diaz Can Fight Conor McGregor

Nate Diaz and Connor McGregor produced an all-time classic fight at UFC 202. Now, Cesar Gracie is hoping that Nate’s older brother, Nick, can fight the Irish boxer.

The 39-year-old Diaz made his competitive return to UFC last September, where he lost to Robbie Lawler in a TKO loss. However, Gracie has said that the former WEC and IFC welterweight champion is optimistic about returning to action in early 2023, where he can face McGregor.

Even though Gracie believes that Diaz will get a huge payday for taking on the Irish boxer, he’s uncertain whether the American would take it or not.

“Me and my personal point of view on that is that is the fight I want to see,” Gracie said to Submission Radio about Nick Diaz vs. McGregor.

“I would love to see Nick and McGregor fight, 100 percent because I think it would be insane. It would be great, I think they both have respect for each other, their skills and everything, I think it would be an amazing fight, I do. But, Nick is such a loyal guy to his brother, Nate, that he looks at that as Nate’s fight and he does not want to step on his toes. Now, if Nate turned to him and said I’m never going to fight that guy, type of thing then Nick would definitely do it.”
