Chandler Sets Record At Bellator 197


Missouri native Michael Chandler returned to the Bellator cage and set a record on April 13th, with a submission victory at Bellator 197.

Chandler, who was originally scheduled to face Brent Primus for the Bellator lightweight title, would face last minute opponent Brandon Girtz. Chandler would walk out with his record setting 15th win inside the Bellator cage, when he would force a first round submission on Girtz, who would drop to 7-6 in Bellator.

In the opening contest of the main card, Kevin “Baby Spice” Ferguson would earn his third win as a pro, as he would get the jump on Devon Brock, and lock in the rear naked choke for his second submission stoppage inside the Bellator cage.
