Charges Dropped In Conor Phone Smashing Case

Conor McGregor dodged another legal bullet on Monday, as the former UFC double champion would not face charges after breaking a fan’s phone in Miami.

Earlier this year, U.K. citizen Ahmed Abdirzak was shooting a video of McGregor near dawn outside the Fontainebleau Hotel on South Beach in Miami. McGregor would then confront Abdirzak and break the fan’s phone.

“The victim of the crime does not wish to return to the United States and prosecute this case,” prosecutor Khalil Madani said during a hearing on Monday.

This is allegedly due to Abdirzak coming to a civil settlement with McGregor, as the UFC star looked to keep this issue out of the courts.
