Charlo And Andrade Agree To Fight In October – ‘I’m Down’
Jermall Charlo and Demetrius Andrade agreed to fight in October during an online exchange.
Both fighters are undefeated, which makes it a teasing prospect for the fans. Charlo has 32 wins with 22 KOs, but he has been inactive in the ring for two years since his victory over Juan Macias Montiel.
In contrast, Andrade (32-0, 19 KOs) has failed to secure a big-money fight despite beating the opponents that were put in front of him.
Talks over a fight with Billy Joe Saunders broke down, while Canelo Alvarez was another fight that eluded Andrade.
The latter, therefore, teased the idea of the fight by agreeing to meet Charlo at 168 lbs.
However, Charlo has also been linked with fighting Canelo if the Mexican cannot secure a bout with Badou Jack for the WBC cruiserweight title.
But for now, both fighters are keen on facing each other, as shown in their comments below.
Charlo: “When do you want to fight?”
Andrade: “Does October sound good?”
Charlo: “I’m down with it.”
Andrade: “You going to listen to me. We’re going to put this s**t together. We’re going to put this s**t together. I don’t know what you talking about.”
Despite this being the case, boxing fans doubted whether the bout would go ahead due to Charlo’s inactivity and Andrade’s failure to secure big fights.
