Former undisputed super welterweight champion Jermell Charlo (35-2-1, 19 KOs) is being positioned for a comeback bout against whoever emerges victorious from the Tim Tszyu (24-1, 17 KOs) vs. Errol Spence Jr. (28-1, 22 KOs) July 26 clash in Australia.
Charlo, 36, has been out of action since September 2023, when he jumped up two weight classes and lost to Canelo Alvarez. There is an added layer of intrigue surrounding a potential Charlo-Spence matchup. The two former champions once shared a gym under trainer Derrick James before going their separate ways.
