Charlo Finally Gets Harrison Rematch A Year Later

A year after a controversial decision, Jermell Charlo will get a chance to reclaim his junior middleweight championship against Tony Harrison.

Harrison won the WBC junior middleweight title in a controversial unanimous decision over Charlo on a card that featured Jermell’s brother Jermall retain the WBC interim middleweight championship.

The December 21st card will happen in southern California and will air on FOX per Mike Coppinger, the same network that aired the first showdown from Barclays Center.

Their rematch was initially supposed to take place on June 23rd, but due to an ankle injury to Harrison, Charlo ended up facing Jorge Cota and thrashing in three rounds.
