Charlo vs. Korobov Live Coverage

As Premier Boxing Champions look to enter a new era with FOX, the Charlo Twins are set to showcase their talents at the Barclays Center.

Interim WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo will compete in the main event against Matt Korobov while Jermell Charlo will defend his WBC junior middleweight title against Tony Harrison.

Both Charlo twins are in the spotlight and looking to head into 2019 with a lot of momentum and looking for big fights. Jermall is hoping to eventually get a shot at either Gennady Golovkin or Canelo Alvarez. Meanwhile, Jermell is hoping to get a unification fight bout against unified champion Jarrett Hurd.

Opening the night is a heavyweight bout between top contender Dominic Breazeale and once-beaten Carlos Negron.

Jermell Charlo vs. Tony Harrison: WBC Junior Middleweight title

Round 1: Charlo opens things up with several quick left jabs and then finishes with a big overhand right. Charlo lands a big left hand and then a three-punch combination. Harrison lands a quick left jab to the body. Charlo lands a quick right to the body. Charlo lands an overhand right and Harrison counters with a right hook upstairs.

Round 2: Charlo lands a big right hand to stun Harrison early in the fight. Harrison lands a three-punch combination to the body. Both men trade quick jabs upstairs. Harrison lands a couple of jabs to the body. Harrison lands a quick left jab upstairs for Charlo.

Round 3: Charlo starts off the round with a flurry of punches that send Harrison to the ropes and Harrison is overwhelmed. Charlo throws a couple of left jabs to keep pushing Harrison. Harrison fights back by throwing a combination of his own. Harrison lands a left hook upstairs. Harrison throws a flurry of punches to the body, but Charlo is defending well against the challenger’s offense.

Round 4: Harrison lands a quick combination, but Charlo settles in nicely. Charlo misses an uppercut, but lets his hands go to try and overwhelm Harrison. Charlo lands an uppercut that splits Harrison’s defense. Charlo lands a left hook and Harrison counters with a right hand.

Round 5: Harrison stuns Charlo with a big right and is staggered. Both men trade punches afterwards and Charlo returns to throwing more punches. Charlo lands a right hand to hurt Harrison.

Round 6: Harrison keeps working the jab upstairs and Charlo continues to throw several combinations to try and overwhelm the challenger. Harrison lands a counter left jab to Charlo’s jaw. Both men clinch and Harrison lands a left hook upstairs.

Round 7: Charlo throws a right hand to the body and Harrison lands two straight jabs that snaps Charlo’s head back. Harrison lands a couple of jabs to the body and is outboxing Charlo. Harrison lands a right hook to the side of Charlo’s head. Harrison connects with a left jab.

Round 8: Harrison throws two swift left hooks to the body and Charlo doubles up on the jab. Charlo throws a 1-2 combination, but Harrison does a good job defending against it. Charlo lands a big right hand and then a left hook. Charlo then connects with a left hook to the body.

Round 9: Charlo corners Harrison and throws a combination of punches to overpower him. Both men stand in the middle of the ring and trade punches. Charlo lands a big punch and taunts Harrison halfway through the round. Charlo lands a right hook to the side of the head.

Round 10: Harrison lands a three-punch combination to Charlo. Charlo pressures Harrison around the ring, but Harrison lands consecutive jabs to Charlo. The last few rounds have been mostly even.

Round 11: Harrison lands a pair of jabs upstairs and Charlo throws a series of right hands that throws Harrison off-balance. Both men clinch and Jermell lands a quick uppercut to Harrison. Harrison lands a couple of jabs to the body.

Round 12: Charlo bullies Harrison around with a couple of right hands. Charlo stuns Harrison with a left hook against the ropes and is letting his hands go to try to go for the knockout. Charlo continues to throw punches to overwhelm Harrison. The fight ends with the two boxers throwing wild shots at each other.

Jermall Charlo vs. Matt Korobov: Interim WBC Middleweight title

Round 1: Korobov throws a jab to the body and Charlo throws and misses a left hook. Charlo lands a left jab upstairs and then connects with an uppercut. Korobov lands another jab to the body. Korobov lands a left hook to the body. Charlo lands several consecutive left jabs and then a left hook upstairs.

Round 2: Both men trade shots at the start of the round before they clinch. Charlo lands a left hook to Korobov. The two exchange hooks in the middle of the ring. Charlo continues to throw several combinations upstairs.

Round 3: Charlo is throwing sharp jabs to open the round. Charlo throws a left jab and Korobov counters with two straight jabs and Charlo answers back with a quick uppercut. The two men continue to trade punches in the middle of the ring. Charlo almost has Korobov in a headlock and after the headlock, Korobov lands a clean left jab. Korobov lands a left hook upstairs.

Round 4: Korobov throws a pair of weak jabs and Charlo throws a hard right jab of his own. Charlo eats a big right hand from Korobov as Charlo starts to throw more jabs. The two boxers spend a minute not throwing anything solid. Korobov lands a big left jab upstairs.

Round 5: Korobov lands another big punch onto Charlo as Charlo is still looking to find an opening to land his signature power punches. Korobov continues to punish Charlo with the left hand as Charlo is struggling against Korobov’s southpaw stance.

Round 6: Korobov continues to land the left hand with relative ease. Charlo misses a left hook and Korobov lands two straight jabs and then a left hook to the body. Korobov misses with another left hook and then lands a right hook to the side of the head. Charlo lands a quick jab, but misses with a right uppercut.

Round 7: Charlo lands a big right jab to Korobov’s and jaw and follows it up with a combination of right hands. Charlo lands another stiff right hand as he appears to have recovered from the mental shock of seeing his brother lose his world title. Charlo is pressuring Korobov and keeps landing the right hand with ease.

Round 8: Charlo and Korobov trade big power shots to each other in the middle of the ring to start the round. Charlo continues with body shots and multiple right hands throughout the round. Charlo lands a quick left hook to Korobov. Korobov lands a quick right jab upstairs and Charlo barely lands a sweeping right hook.

Round 9: Charlo lands a couple of jabs to Korobov as Korobov looks to land more hooks to the body. Charlo continues to pressure Korobov around the ring. Charlo lands several right hands to Korobov as the challenger is getting overwhelmed.

Round 10: Korobov starts to land more jabs to start the round, but Charlo remains the aggressor. Charlo is still landing the right hand with ease and is starting to run away with this fight. Charlo lands a quick left hook to Korobov and then a straight right.

Round 11: Korobov landed a pair of big left hands upstairs to Charlo. Charlo and Korobov trade power punches, but Korobov loses his balance and Charlo landed a couple of uppercuts. Korobov lands an uppercut late in the round and then a left hook. Charlo doubles up on the jab.

Round 12: Charlo opens things up with a couple of jabs and then a left hand that stuns Korobov. Charlo hurts Korobov more with a flurry of punches and Korobov is still staggered halfway through the round. Korobov recovers but is still in deep trouble. Charlo lands another pair of jabs with Korobov against the ropes.
