Cheyanne Vlismas Vs. Tabatha Ricci Scheduled For October 1
Cheyanne Vlismas (7-2-0) and Tabatha Ricci (7-1-0) are set to lock horns in a matchup on October 1. Vlismas, who was part of Dana White’s contender series in 2020, bounced back from her UFC debut loss against Montserrat Ruiz in March 2021 with back-to-back wins.
During her most recent fight in December, the 26-year-old clinched victory over Mallory Martin via unanimous decision. Before getting a shot in the UFC, Vlismas enjoyed a few appearances in LFA and BTC. Due to her win against Martin seven months ago, she won a ‘Fight of the Night’ $50k performance bonus.
Vlismas will not have it easy against Ricci, who is also coming into the fight on the back of consecutive victories against Polyana Viana and Maria Oliveira respectively. Like her opponent, Ricci also enjoyed short-term success in LFA before having a shot in the UFC.
The only defeat in the Brazilian’s career came against Manon Fiorot last June. The location of their fight is yet to be determined. The main event of the card is expected to be announced in the coming months.
