Chisora Throws Table at Whyte During Press Conference

Derek Chisora and Dillian Whyte were at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Manchester on Wednesday to promote their British heavyweight title fight. The press conference did not go the distance, so to speak, as Chisora picked up a table and threw it at Whyte during a heated exchange.

The scuffle was captured by sports journalist Sheldan Keay on Twitter:

Chisora and Whyte are set to fight on Saturday in the Manchester Arena, as part of the undercard to Anthony Joshua’s IBF title defense against Eric Molina.

Chisora was restrained by security after throwing the table in the direction of Whyte and his trainer Mark Tibbs.

According to Chisora, his anger was a result of Whyte apparently "threatening his life".

This was not the first scuffle between Chisora and Whyte, who got into an altercation at the Sky Sports studio when filming a special earlier this week.

Pre-fight physical confrontations are nothing new to Chisora. He fought outside the ring with David Haye in 2012, after Chisora lost to Vitali Klitschko. Haye got the last laugh, as he knocked out Chisora later that year.
