Chisora Wants Usyk

After missing out on one former world champion, Dereck Chisora eyes another if he drops David Price this Saturday at The O2.

Chisora was set to fight Joseph Parker in a heavyweight clash as the co-headliner for the WBSS Final between Regis Prograis and Josh Taylor, but Price stepped in due to an illness to the former world champion allegedly caused by a spider bite.

Chisora, who does not refrain from speaking his truth, told Sky Sports that he sees an easy target in the former undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.

“Him and his team they need to stop juggling balls, it’s not a circus,” Chisora said of Usyk’s heavyweight debut. “Come and do what you need to do. Forget the juggling balls and dancing. Nobody wants to see a dancing show. Come Dancing with the Stars? This is a boxing match.

“You know what, I want to have that fight. Yeah, I would take it, 100 percent. No shadiness, nothing, I’ll take that.”

“I’m excited,” Chisora said of his fight with Price said: “I’m back at The O2 Arena, buzzing. Boxing this year for me has been amazing. I’m just excited for this fight.

“Home of boxing, O2 Arena. I’ve worked hard to get that off the fans, and I really appreciate them for embracing me and loving me, so I have to come and deliver.

“We box the same way. If you understand the way I fight and the way I box, it’s pressure, pressure. Bring it to the other guy and that’s what we’re doing.”
