Chris Arreola Looking Forward To The Fight With Anthony Joshua
Former world title challenger Chris Arreola (38-7-1, 33 KOs) believes that he will take the fight to Anthony Joshua if the pair lock horns in December.
The 41-year-old revealed that there are negotiations ongoing regarding a potential match with Joshua and he’s hoping to make the most out of it.
“There are talks, and they’re trying to figure out if something happens,” said Arreola to Fighthype about a fight against Joshua. “If it doesn’t happen, it doesn’t matter to me. I’m fighting regardless. I’m fighting in December.
“I’m getting my butt back in the ring. I was supposed to fight in September. I was supposed to fight in May. Everything keeps getting pushed back. It’s part of boxing. I’m okay with that, but I need to fight this year.
“I’m grateful to be a big Mexican. I’m grateful to be a heavyweight. I’m grateful to be a fighter. I get paid to fight, and if I’m going to fight, it’s a good thing for me. So if I fight someone like Joshua, I’m going to bring him the fight.
“I’m going to make sure he knows he’s in a fight. I’m going to make sure he knows that ‘You can hit me, but I’m going to get back up, and we’re going to keep f***en fighting. I’m a dog. There’s a dog in me,”
The talks about the potential fight between Joshua and Arreola are yet to be concluded.
