Chris Arreola Thinks Andy Ruiz Would KO Anthony Joshua In Trilogy

Chris Arreola is of the belief that Andy Ruiz would stop Anthony Joshua in a trilogy fight.

Ruiz and Arreola did battle on May 1. Ruiz survived a second-round knockdown to take a unanimous decision over Arreola. It was Ruiz’s first bout since his December 2019 loss to Joshua in their rematch. Ruiz had scored an upset TKO win over “AJ” in their first meeting back in June 2019.

During the post-fight press conference, Arreola told reporters that he believes Ruiz would defeat Joshua if given a third bout (via BoxingScene.com).

“They didn’t expect this Chris Arreola. You know, no disrespect to him. You know, he came out in great shape and he was in great shape. This fighter would beat AJ, would easily knock out AJ.”

Arreola went on to say that he is none too pleased with the judges for his showdown with Ruiz.

“They honestly need to have some accountability. They need to show me how, why they judged the rounds like that. Like honestly, how? How, dude? A lot of punches, he was hitting my gloves, like this. And yeah, did my glove hit my face? F—, my own glove hit my face. Sorry. But dude, his glove never touched me in my face, in order for them to give him that f——- round, man.”
