Chris Billam-Smith puts his WBO cruiserweight title on the line against Mateusz Masternak.

The champion makes the first defense of his title, which he acquired after an upset win over Lawrence Okolie. A win over Masternak puts Billam-Smith in the conversation for a unification fight against Jai Opetaia. His 36-year-old opponent, Masternak, has his first world title shot. And with six wins on the bounce, Masternak arrives into the contest full of confidence. In chief support, Ben Whittaker takes on Stiven Leonetti in a light heavyweight clash.

Ben Whittaker vs. Stiven Dredhaj – Light heavyweight

Ben Whittaker returned from injury to stop Stiven Dredhaj in a fourth-round knockout. Whittaker looked at home from the opening round. He utilised his footwork to make Dredhaj miss before countering his opponent. As the fight entered the third round, Whittaker stepped on the gas. A lethal left hand drew blood from Dredhaj’s nose. A chopping right hand then followed, which sent Dredhaj to the canvas.

Despite having the chance to stop his opponent, Whittaker’s showboating earned him a warning from the referee. In the following round, however, Whittaker made no mistake. A straight right followed by a left hook dropped Dredhaj, and the referee stopped the fight immediately.

Lauren Price vs. Silvia Bortot – Welterweight

Lauren Price dominated Silvia Bortot to secure a decision win over the Italian. Price started the fight well, as Bortot was reluctant to throw in the opener. Price’s southpaw jab got through Bortot’s defense as she was able to pick her opponent off at will. The Brit’s speed and accuracy were too much for Bortot to handle.

As the Italian moved inside to close the distance, Price beat her opponent to the punch. She used her left hand well, using the lead land to follow up with hooks to the body. Price would win all eight rounds, as she took the fight on the scorecards in a one-sided fight: 80-72. The win puts Price in contention for mega fights against Natasha JonasMikaela Mayer or Sandy Ryan later down the line.
