“I’m proud to welcome this diverse and talented group of top-ranked and highly sought-after fighters to the Professional Fighters League. Half of the 2020 season roster will be elevated with next-level new talent, and the other half, comprised of the best fighters from last season,” said Peter Murray, CEO of the Professional Fighters League. “The PFL’s fighters must earn their way through the toughest test in MMA, fighting five times over the course of the Regular Season, Playoffs, and Championship for a shot at the six $1 Million Dollar Belts. I’m excited for our global fanbase to watch our new fighters mix it up this season starting May 21st on ESPN2 and ESPN+.”
Collard (18-8, 1NC) is on a two-fight win streak and 4-1 in his last five. He fought twice in 2019 while also working as a boxer. With a 6-2-3 record in the ring, Collard is 5-1 in his last six fights. He will be joining the men’s lightweight division.
Dandois (15-5) will join the PFL’s lightweight divison. She is currently on a three-fight win streak. The 35-year-old has fought for almost every major promotion, ranging from Invicta, Rizin, Bellator, Cage Warriors to the UFC. She is extremely close with Miesha Tate, almost facing her back in Invicta. “Battlecat’s” last fight was a submission win over Bethany Christensen.
Held (26-7) is on a four-fight win streak. The Bellator Season 10 Lightweight Tournament winner was 10-2 with the promotion before signing with the UFC. He ended up 1-3 before going to Absolute Championship Berkut. “The Polish Prodigy” is a medalist of the IBJFF Open Jiu-Jitsu Championships.
Jenkins, a Division I wrestling medalist, is on a three-fight win streak. He won the Brave CF Featherweight Championship back in September 2018 after winning eight fights with Bellator.
Sanchez made her pro debut in January, beating Lawanda Long for Pure Fighting Championships. She will also be competing in the PFL’s lightweight divison. Her previous athletic experience was as a basketball star.
Jordan Young (11-1) is coming off of a loss against Julius Anglickas at Bellator 233. The American Top Team member has over nine wins via submission.
Mohammed Usman is the brother of UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman. He is currently on a three-fight win streak, with all three wins coming in 2019.
The PFL’s regular season is expected to begin on May 21.
