Comedians Raise Money With Boxing Event

Making someone laugh for a good cause is angelic, and something you’d often see but getting punched in the face for a charitable cause is a rare find and almost noble!

In order to raise money for PIPS Suicide Prevention in Ireland, a number of local comedians will square off in the ring at the Valentine’s Day Massacre charity boxing event in Belfast’s Ulster Hall on Saturday, February 11.

The main purpose of this event will be to host interesting fights to generate donations for a charity. The event will consist of 8 fights, which will feature between fighters, including Shane Todd vs Johnny Bow, Micky Bartlett vs Mark McCarney, and Rachel McPeake vs Claire Corrigan.

Paddy McDonnell, a resident of west Belfast, Pete Giffen, comedian Sara Jade Davidson, and Sean Hegarty are all scheduled to perform. Aside from William Thompson, Dave Elliott, and Ciaran Bartlett, there will be “many more” guests who will be unveiled at the special event on February 11.

The night of amateur boxing will feature the comedians, and all proceeds will benefit the PIPS Suicide Prevention Ireland organization.

A charity campaign has also been started on the JustGiving website in addition to the event itself.
