Conflicting Reports On Fury vs. Joshua Location

Reports linking a potential Tyson Fury (35-2-1, 24 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (29-4, 26 KOs) showdown to SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles have been contradicted by boxing journalist Dan Rafael, who says the fight is set for the UK.

“Per source with direct knowledge of the plans, assuming Joshua and Fury win warm up fights, their showdown in November will take place in the UK. It will not be in Los Angeles,” Rafael

The clarification comes after the Saudis were understood to have identified SoFi Stadium as a preferred destination for the bout. The Inglewood venue holds 70,240 for NFL fixtures but can be expanded to accommodate close to 100,000 for major events, with its covered roof eliminating the weather concerns that might accompany a late-year stadium fight in Britain.

Both fighters are expected to compete before any meeting takes place. Joshua returns on July 25 in Saudi Arabia against Kristian Prenga, while Fury has stated his intention to fight on August 1 in Dublin before turning his attention back to his longtime domestic rival.
