Conor Benn’s next fight could be on December 23rd, 2023, against Chris Eubank Jr.
Reports indicate that the date is being considered for what would be a mega-domestic clash. The boxer’s highly-publicized return was marked with a win over Rodolfo Orozo via a unanimous decision on September 23rd, 2023, in Orlando, Florida. However, there were still pressing matters outside of the ring that Benn will have to address.
He is currently facing an appeal from UKAD and the British Boxing Board of Control after his suspension was removed over his two failed VADA tests for Clomiphene. While his suspension was lifted by the National Anti-Doping Agency, the nature of Benn’s defense is unclear as reports suggest it hinges on jurisdiction as opposed to whether Benn had Clomiphene in his system.
Nevertheless, Benn’s focus was on his boxing. His return against Orozo was at junior middleweight, which suggests that a fight at 160 pounds against Chris Eubank Jr. may be on the way. And yet, Benn was also happy to go back down to 147 to target the current titles held by Terence Crawford. The latter is expected to go up to 154 pounds, which would then free up the belts.
“I’m happy to go back down to 147 and capture a World title down there. There are big fights there for me. The world titles are over here. I feel welcome over here. Also I feel loved here. I feel like I have a lot of support here, and I’m overwhelmed by the love and support I’m shown here. If my next fight has got to be here at 147, then me and my trainer will come over here and capture the titles at 147. You’ve got some great fighters over here. The likes of Ennis, Spence, Crawford. You got all these fighters over here, top level fighters,” Benn said
But moving forward, Benn’s future is unclear until he fully comes through the legal process with UKAD and the British Boxing Board of Control. And this was the sentiment being expressed on social media.

He’s not cleared though, this is what annoys me about this situation his team arnt letting USADA look at the results cause they didn’t do the testing so he hasn’t beaten it yet he’s just gone and got licensed in a different country

Caught trying to cover up steroid use and then uses insane family, fame and money leverage to worm his way around it.
