Conor & Lobov End Legal Battle

Conor McGregor and Artem Lobov have reached an out-of-court settlement following the fallout from McGregor’s sale of his whiskey brand Proper No. Twelve. 

The lawsuit stemmed from the 2021 transaction where McGregor and his partners sold a majority stake in Proper No. 12 to Proximo Spirits for an estimated $600 million. The Irishman reportedly pocketed approximately $130 million. Lobov claimed he was entitled to a 5% share of the proceeds from the brand’s sale as a co-founder, based on a 2017 verbal agreement he alleged McGregor failed to honor, leading Lobov to seek a roughly $30 million payout based on his alleged 5% stake. The trial was set to begin on April 15, but a settlement was reached, though no figures were disclosed. Lobov was happy with the settlement, while McGregor’s attorney (Mark Lyman) confirmed the Irishman was happy to see things resolved.
