Conor McGregor And Jake Gyllenhaal’s ‘Road House’ Set To Be Released On March 21

Conor McGregor’s first movie ‘Road House’ will be released on March 21 via Amazon Prime Video.

McGregor’s UFC career has been subject to much uncertainty following his last fight with Dustin Poirier in 2021 at UFC 264. A broken leg accompanied the defeat. McGregor targeted a return in 2023 but failed to meet the USADA testing deadline.

The Irishman entered the testing pool in October 2023 shortly before the UFC and USADA partnership ended at the end of the year. He announced his next fight for June 29 at 185 pounds against Michael Chandler. However, the UFC has not officially announced that, with Dana White stating they will confirm McGregor’s return.

During this period, McGregor secured his first film role. The movie is a remake of the 1989 ‘Road House’ movie featuring Patrick Swayze. Ronda Rousey had been linked with the role, but ‘The Notorious’ got the nod. McGregor will star alongside Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal. Fans got a glimpse of the film when Gyllenhaal filmed a scene in the Octagon at UFC 285, as he and McGregor were in attendance for the fight.

“In this adrenaline-fueled reimagining of the 80s cult classic, ex-UFC fighter Dalton [Jake Gyllenhaal] takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to discover that this paradise is not all it seems,” synopsis
