Conor McGregor And Michael Chandler’s Altercation – Here’s What Happened

At the press conference after UFC 285 over the past weekend, Dana White disclosed that there was an altercation between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler, resulting in a disagreement between the two lightweight fighters.

Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor were very respectful to each other, and then some things started escalating that you’ll see on the show. They do not like each other now. A lot of s**t went down on Friday. There was a lot of s**t that went down on Friday, yeah.

“I don’t look at stuff that’s good for the show or things like that. Whatever happens, happens. The stuff that just happened shouldn’t have happened and I’m getting old. I would have been in there sooner back in the days but not good.”

Initially, there was not much information available about the incident on TUF 31. But now new information has come to light, as per MMA journalist Amy Kaplan.

The MMA fighters are scheduled to have a match at the end of the season, but the specific date and location have yet to be announced. McGregor’s record is 22 wins and six losses, while Chandler has 23 wins and eight losses.

In July 2021, McGregor, who is currently 34 years old, participated in his last Octagon fight at UFC 264, losing to Dustin Poirier (29-7 MMA).

After the fight, McGregor had to undergo surgery to fix his broken leg and has been focusing on recovering, rehabilitating, and training ever since.

In contrast, at UFC 281 in November, Chandler, who is 36 years old, was defeated by Dustin Poirier. He has not performed well in his last four fights, losing three of them in the process.

And yet, the fan base were keen on seeing the two fight each other.
