Conor McGregor Denies Squabble With Machine Gun Kelly At MTV VMAs
UFC star Conor McGregor and rapper-singer Machine Gun Kelly walked along the same red carpet Sunday. But within moments, the harmony subsided as McGregor threw punches and a left-over drink towards MGK.
McGregor, however, denies there was an altercation at the MTV VMAs red carpet with the rapper.
“Nothing happened with me, I only fight real fighters, people that actually fight, you know what I mean,” McGregor told Entertainment Tonight after the incident. “I certainly don’t fight little vanilla boy rappers. I don’t even know the guy. I don’t know anything about him, except that he’s with Megan Fox.”

Videos and reports show McGregor lunging at Kelly, attempting to reach Kelly with punches, but was blocked off by security and Kelly’s girlfriend, actress Megan Fox.
The MMA fighter was escorted away, but threw a cocktail towards Kelly.
The cause of the incident is unclear, but TMZ first reported that McGregor asked the rapper for a photo, but was denied. Something escalated the rapper into pushing McGregor, who stumbled back and spilled his drink.
They also reported McGregor tried to say hello to MGK and walked up to him, but something was said, and McGregor was suddenly pushed away by security.
McGregor’s spokesperson, Karen Kessler, denied the reports.
“Conor McGregor did not ask anyone for a picture, nor did he instigate this incident,” Kessler wrote to ESPN. “He does not know Machine Gun Kelly, outside of the fact that he attended Conor’s fight this past July.”
Kelly was asked about the incident afterwards on the red carpet, but hit the microphone with his hand and walked away. Fox told the reporter, “Don’t ask him about that,” with a slight smirk.
McGregor was at the VMAs to present singer Justin Bieber with the Best Artist of the Year award. Kelly, meanwhile, performed “Papercuts” with Travis Barker and also won the Best Alternative Video award.
