Conor McGregor Gives Praise To Alex Pereira Following UFC 303 Knockout Victory

Despite the shift in attention following Conor McGregor’s injury that forced him to pull out of UFC 303, the Irishman spoke very highly of Alex Pereira, who was victorious in the replacement main event.

Just weeks prior to McGregor’s planned return after being sidelined since 2021, it was revealed that the fight would be postponed due to an injury to his toe. It now seems that he will meet Michael Chandler at a rescheduled date.

A rematch between Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka filled the void that McGregor’s injury left in the main event slot this past Saturday, and “Poatan” finished his opponent with a dramatic head kick knockout at the beginning of the 2nd round. Following the event, instead of being jealous of the middleweight champion taking his spotlight, McGregor took this opportunity to acknowledge Pereira’s title defense.

Left high kick 😞👏
